Ketchup for your fries?? No way — not when there are so many much more civilized options available. Try this recipe for Spicy Mango Mayonnaise for example. It’s got sweet mango taste, a bit of tang from the mayo, and a bit of zip for good measure.
Ingredients for Spicy Mango Mayonnaise
- Ripe mangoes, 3 medium, cut into 1″ pieces
- Mayonnaise, 1/2 cup
- Honey, 1/2 Tsp.
- Tabasco sauce, 2 drops
- Puree the mango in a blender until very smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve and discard the pulp.
- In a small bowl combine the mayo, honey, and mango. Add 2 drops of tabasco sauce and mix thoroughly. Taste and add more tabasco in small amounts until it reaches your desired “zip” level. Be careful! A little tabasco goes a long way!
- This makes a great dipping sauce for fries, chicken, or chips.
