If you ever watch cooking shows like Hell’s Kitchen or Master Chef, then you might be intimidated by pan-searing sea scallops.  Easily overcooked–and just as easily undercooked–this tasty delicacy can often prove to be a true kitchen nightmare.

But there is great news for those of you who want to cook an impressive meal for your partner on date night – air frying takes the guesswork out of the tricky sea scallop.

Simply brush the scallops with olive oil then sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste, air fry for a few minutes, and voila! You have achieved a perfectly cooked batch of scallops that can be paired with a grilled steak or served alone for a romantic meal guaranteed to impress that special someone in your life.

Sea scallops have a sweet flavor that doesn’t require a great deal of dressing up. However, if you prefer to “spice up” your scallops, consider tossing with dry white wine or topping with a savory Parmesan cream sauce.  Then, light some candles and break out the nice table linens for a quiet five-star meal enjoyed in the privacy of your own dining room.
