Air frying has changed my life! There – I said it. With a career that keeps me busy and a family to care for, cooking healthy meals in a timely manner is one of my top priorities – and air frying allows me to do just that. With little to no preheating required and little to no oil needed, I can cook nutritious meals in an air fryer in half the time it would take to use an oven. With perks like that, it isn’t difficult to understand why I’m sold on air frying. The following is a review of the FrenchMay Air Fryer.
Not all air fryers are created equal. But I am happy to report that the FrenchMay A370 Air Fryer holds its own against the competition. This mid-size air fryer is quiet, easy to clean, and cooks 3-4 servings of food quickly and evenly. The rounded design is sleek but not bulky and fits nicely on my counter without being an eyesore. Its digital touchscreen is user-friendly, and most importantly, it cooks the healthy meals my family loves quickly and evenly.

Performance
The FrenchMay A370 air fryer is easy to use and provides fast, even cooking on most every food, from frozen egg rolls to steaks. The machine is quiet and keeps odors down, so it is ideal for cooking strong-smelling foods like fish. The basket is dishwasher safe, which makes clean up easy–a huge plus in my home. Even without using the dishwasher, the air fryer is non-stick and simple to clean with a bit of hot soapy water.
The digital touch screen is user-friendly with temperature control and timer and start/stop button, which I appreciate. Oftentimes, digital touchscreens can be confusing, which makes me prefer regular push buttons, but the FrenchMay model is straight-forward and frustration-free.
One of the features I like best about this model is the easy placement and removal of the basket. My number- one pet peeve with air fryers are units with sensitive basket placement. Nothing makes me angrier than trying to slide the basket into the unit only to have to wiggle, raise, lower, or remove and try again before the basket will fit. Bottom line? If it’s a pain in my rear to insert the basket into the air fryer, I’m not going to like the machine. I am happy to report that the FrenchMay unit did not create this sort of frustration. From setting the temperature and time to sliding the basket in and out, this unit was easy to use and provided fast, stress-free cooking.
I found the FrenchMay air fryer to cook efficiently and evenly on most everything I cooked, according to the capacity. French fries, veggies, pizza rolls, and corn dogs did the best, as well as 2-3 servings of protein like chicken, fish, or beef. However, when cooking 2 pounds of chicken wings, I found that it took longer than normal to cook the meat all the way through, and some of the pieces were finished before others, despite having flipped the wings twice during the 25 minute cook time. I will say that chicken wings are tough to air fry in any machine, though the end result is always worth the wait. I would recommend cooking chicken wings one pound at a time in this model.
Quality
The FrenchMay Air Fryer has a sleek design with metal, plastic, and stainless steel parts that are BPA free and approved by the FDA. This machine is well made and stands up to the travel tests my air fryers are often subjected to. While I cook for my family at home, we spend a lot of time with our families outside the home. I often bring an air fryer over to help with meal prep or let my sister or mother borrow one of our air fryers. The FrenchMay traveled with us about an hour away to visit my husband’s family home, where we cooked fried pickles and a few other things for our son and his cousins. It survived a weekend filled with toddlers and multiple users, so overall, it seems to be a well-made, high-quality small appliance.
Ease of Cleaning
The FrenchMay Air Fryer was easy to clean. With dishwasher-safe parts and a non-stick basket, you can simply put this in the dishwasher or wipe clean with soap and hot water. If an appliance is difficult to clean, then it will collect dust in my house, so the FrenchMay appliance will be used again and again.
Ease of Use
With digital touchscreen temperature and timing controls, the FrenchMay unit was simple to operate. As I stated earlier, I often get frustrated with touchscreens that require a learning curve, but the FrenchMay product was simple and straight-forward. The basket was easy to remove and slide into place, and the auto settings for specific foods were accurate.
Meal Size
While the FrenchMay A370 Air Fryer boasts easy cooking for up to four people, I found that the 3.7-quart basket capacity serves more like 2-3 people. This machine performed the best for me when cooking 2-3 servings of protein, up to 4 servings of veggies, and up to 3 servings of homemade fries. I would recommend that a larger family or those who often entertain groups purchase a larger capacity air fryer.
Summary
Overall, the FrenchMay A370 Air Fryer is durable, user-friendly and high-performing. I would recommend this unit for couples and families of no more than 3 members.
