If you’re on the lookout for a quick meal or simple appetizer to serve at a party, look no further. Ready in half the time it would take to bake and healthier than deep or pan-frying, serving air-fried frozen taquitos will save you at least ten minutes in the kitchen while providing a delicious meal.
This post has been on our site for well over a year now and from the comments below, the original cooking time was problematic for some so we updated the cooking time. A lot of factors affect cooking time including the size of the air fryer, size and amount of food items, etc. So be sure to check your food to flip halfway through the cooking time – especially when you have small, thin items like taquitos that cook quickly.
Try one of these frozen food air fryer recipes:

Quickly prepare frozen taquitos in the air fryer
- 1 box/bag frozen taquitos
-
Spray air fryer basket with a few spritzes of your favorite oil.
-
Place taquitos in the basket, 5-6 at a time, depending on the capacity of your air fryer.
-
Cook the taquitos at 400°F | 204°C for 7 minutes, flipping halfway through.
-
Plate and enjoy!

Really glad I kept checking. Mine were done in 7 minutes at 400…pretty sure 15 min would have caused a fire.
Yeah me too! That is why we like to flip half way through, but there are many factors that can cause it such as the air fryer you are using your elevation and how frozen the taquitos were. Thanks for letting everyone know you experienced a much quicker cook time!
It took mine about half that time as well, just a heads up.
Me too…I just bought the fryer and this was my first attempt at using it. I did turn then at 7 min, but kept cooking
Let’s just say my daughters taquitos could break a tooth. LOL Definitely 7 minutes next time.
Would this work for homemade taquitos?
Works perfectly. Flip 1/2 way through (about 3.5 minutes) and they are great!
i cook mine at 400 for 7 minutes, they came out perfect
Cook them at 400. Flip at 3 and 1/2 minutes. This isn’t saying 7 minutes is half way!
