I truly love potstickers, they are a great appetizer to any meal. The biggest issue I have is that I struggle to steam them, and they probably should be steamed.
But if you don’t want to steam, and you still want them hot, you can do what I did and throw them into the air fryer. Just know that they will not come out as soft and sticky as they would at a restaurant, as air frying is NOT the same as steaming. But alas, that is perfectly okay by me, because, I prefer a slightly browned pot sticker anyway, and that is what you will get when cooking dumplings in the air fryer.
Try one of these frozen food air fryer recipes:
- 1 serving Potsticker (dumplings)
- Your favorite oil for air frying (avocado, extra light olive, sesame, etc.)
- 3 tsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp rice wine vinegar
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp scallions (chopped)
Preheat the air fryer to 390° F | 199° C for 5 minutes.
Spray the air frying pan, as well as the individual potstickers to prevent sticking.
Air fry the potstickers for 4 minutes at 390° F | 199° C, flip over the potstickers, and air fry for an additional 4 minutes
Let rest in the pan for an additional minute.
plate and enjoy!
