Frozen Mozzarella Sticks in the Air Fryer

Sometimes you just want a quick and easy snack, and there is nothing easier than frozen mozzarella sticks prepared in the air fryer.

There are a few items that are always available in our deep freezer, like mozzarella sticks, tater tots, and egg rolls. They are very easy to prepare and perfect for those of us on the go. Often when we have friends or family over, we air fry a little bit of everything.  And mozzarella sticks are perhaps one of the best options. In just 7 or 8 minutes, you can have this delicious appetizer cooked to crispy perfection.

Pair these with your favorite marinara sauce for dipping.

Beware – mozzarella sticks can be tricky. One minute they look fine then the next minute all the cheese has oozed out of the breading. Although we suggest seven minutes of cooking time, some air fryers cook too hot or not hot enough. You can cook for additional time if you prefer crispier breading, but be very careful as cheese loss can and will occur if the mozzarella sticks are cooked too long.

  • 5 frozen mozzarella sticks
Instructions
  1. Preheat air fryer to 380° F | 180° C

  2. Add a single layer of frozen mozzarella sticks to the air fryer basket

  3. Air Fry for 4 minutes, shake, and air fry for an additional 3 minutes
