Ingredients
  • 1 bag Mini Pretzels I used Gluten Free
  • 1 bag Hershey's Hugs
  • 1 bag M&Ms Red and Green Holiday
Instructions
  1. Line your air fryer basket with mini pretzels. You will probably be able to get around 15 pretzels in a single layer in your air fryer.

  2. Top Pretzels with  Hershey's Hugs

  3. Cook at 250 for approximately 2-3 minutes, just until Hugs are soft and nearly melted. Be careful not to cook for too long, or you'll wind up with a chocolaty mess to clean up.

  4. Press M&Ms into the chocolate.

  5. Place pretzels in the freezer for about an hour or until chocolate is cold and firm.

Depending upon how much candy you are making, these sweet and salty treats can be prepared in your air fryer alone or in addition to your oven when preparing larger batches. Your air fryer will help you get the job done quickly with no need to preheat as with a conventional oven. Also, the cook time is faster ,so you can get these candies from your air fryer to your freezer in less than five minutes per batch.

How to Make Christmas Pretzel Candy in the Air Fryer

You will need pretzels, Hershey’s Hugs, and M&Ms. With three simple ingredients, this recipe is cost effective, fast, and easy. I allowed my four year old to hep me make these candies, and he had a blast. While a significant number of the Hugs and M&Ms went straight from the packaging and into his mouth, he enjoyed lining up the pretzels and adding the hugs. Then, he waited anxiously for the chocolate to melt and helped press the M&Ms down into the melted chocolate.

From start to finish, it took around eight minutes to prepare a single batch, so if you’re looking for a simple gift idea for friends, neighbors, teachers, or even something tasty and simple to bring to a party, these pretzel candies are perfect. In addition, you can purchase gluten free pretzels, like we did, if you or anyone you know has a gluten allergy or intolerance. As someone who is limited in what I can eat at parties, seeing something that is GF always makes my day.
