Luckily, most any food that can be baked or deep-fried can also be air fried, thus providing a means to cook healthier vegan meals more quickly. Air Fryer Vegan Recipes
While we have offered two new vegan recipes at the end of this post, we also have a couple of other favorites that are definitely worth mentioning.
First, our vegan black bean burgers are a healthy alternative that is packed with nutrients and protein. The best part is that they can be flavored with various spices to suit your palette. Our recipe is seasoned with cumin for a southwestern flavor, which goes well with creamy guacamole or avocado slices for toppings.
If it’s a tasty side dish you’re looking for, we recommend our air fryer brussels sprouts with honey-balsamic marinade. Sweet and tangy, these brussels sprouts are delicious served alongside a main dish or served cold as a satisfying salad.
Below, you will find two new vegan recipes easily prepared in the air fryer.
Mexican Burrito Bowl
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup green onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup red onion, chopped
- 1 package mushrooms, sliced
- 1 can sweet corn
- 2 cans Black Beans
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp. garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp. cumin, ground
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- salt and pepper, to taste
In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients.
Spritz the basket of your air fryer with avocado oil.
Add burrito mixture to basket; spritz top with oil.
Cook at 370 for 15 minutes, shaking basket halfway through.
Serve with quinoa and top with guacamole.
Vegan Stir Fry with Tofu
- 2 heads broccoli
- 1 carton mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. ginger, ground You can also use fresh ginger
- 12 oz. Tofu, extra firm
- 1-2 Tbsp. sesame oil
In a medium saucepan, bring some water to a boil. Add tofu and let simmer for approximately 15 minutes. Remove and squeeze out excess water. But into 1/2 inch cubes.
In a large mixing bowl, toss together all vegetables, soy sauce, vinegar, and spices until well coated. Set aside
Spritz the basket of your air fryer with sesame oil. Add the tofu and cook around 10 minutes at 400, flipping halfway through.
Once the tofu has cooked for 10 minutes, add the vegetables, tossing together with the tofu. Cook at 370 for 15-20 minutes, or until the vegetables have reached the desired texture.
Plate and Enjoy.
