Get ready for game time with this super easy to make recipe for Hot Chicken Wings in your Air Fryer. These wings will have that deep-fried taste without the calories. Serves two.
- Chicken Wings, 2 lb.
- Olive Oil, 1 Tbsp.
- Frank’s Hot Sauce, 1-1/2 cups
- Butter, 2 Tbsp.
- Ketchup, 1 Tbsp.
- Maple Syrup, 1/2 cup
Add the chicken wings and oil to the air dryer and begin cooking at 400 degrees. While the wings are cooking, melt the butter and combine all remaining ingredients in a bowl to make the wing sauce. Mix thoroughly.
After about 25 minutes, check on them and break one of the wings open. It should be just about white inside which indicates they are close to being done. For more tender wings, go ahead and add the sauce to the air fryer at this point and cook for another 5 – 10 minutes.
If you prefer more crispy wings, don’t add the sauce to the air fryer. Instead leave the wings in until they are the desired crispiness. Once done, remove them, and toss them in the bowl of sauce. This creates more of a crispy wing coated in sauce, rather than a juicy wing that has absorbed some of the sauce.
